Mulgrave School is a non-denominational, coeducational IB
World School (pre-kindergarten to grade 12) authorized to
offer the IB Primary Years Programme, the IB Middle Years
Programme and the IB Diploma Programme. Students are
encouraged to reach their highest goals in a Renaissance
approach to education; academic rigour and breadth of
educational experiences are fundamental to our programme.
Action, service, leadership and independence in learning are
inherent to the school’s ethos, as is a strong culture of caring.
Located on the forested slopes of Vancouver’s north shore,
overlooking Burrard Inlet and the Pacific Ocean, Mulgrave
School is highly valued for its positive community spirit and
for its vibrant atmosphere.
Experienced teachers from around the world provide a
comprehensive and challenging IB curriculum to an equally
diverse student body. Within the framework of the three IB
programmes, teachers work with their students to develop the
unique skills required to succeed in our ever-changing human
environment. Students are inspired to be creative problemsolvers,
effective communicators and lifelong learners.
To enhance the delivery of curricula, Mulgrave utilises
wireless technology throughout the school. SMART Boards are
used extensively through all grades to enable students to
approach their learning in different ways. Students from
grades 6 to 12 benefit from a laptop programme, where they
are encouraged to use technology to explore global
perspectives and expand the boundaries of their learning.
The school’s commitment to athletics, service, outdoor
education, arts, leadership and co-curricular programmes
provides ample opportunity for students to find and develop
their unique passions. Ethics, morals and principles are firmly
entrenched in a Mulgrave education. We foster the
development of young leaders who demonstrate international
understanding and meaningful action as responsible citizens
of the global community. By ‘inspiring excellence in education
and life’, Mulgrave strives to equip our students with the skills
necessary to thrive in a culturally diverse and interdependent
world. Students are encouraged to embrace, with passion and
confidence, their responsibility to do their best, to support
others and to make a difference by serving their communities,
both locally and in the world at large.
