Facilities<br />

JKS is situated in the Al Salamah district of central Jeddah,<br />

the gateway to Saudi Arabia. The school boast facilities<br />

meeting international standards that includes spacious fully<br />

air-conditioned classrooms with interactive boards, wireless<br />

internet access and intercom system. Other facilities include a<br />

heated indoor swimming pool, fully equipped gymnasium,<br />

500 seat auditorium, air-conditioned basketball courts,<br />

outdoor athletics track and outdoor green pitch. Two canteens<br />

offer nutritiously, balanced meals overseen by a dietician.<br />

Admissions<br />

JKS welcomes all students and currently has a school<br />

population representing 15 nationalities. The admissions office<br />

assists parents with enrolment all year round. All prospective<br />

students are required to write an entrance examination and<br />

undergo an interview with the relevant programme personnel.<br />

Student Activities<br />

Extensive co-curricular and extracurricular programmes that<br />

cater for a vast range of interest and abilities ensure that<br />

students are encouraged to develop balanced lifestyles. From<br />

Model United Nations to basketball and gymnastics, students<br />

develop lifelong skills of team work and respect for others.<br />

Students are encouraged to be caring through their involvement<br />

with local charities and orphanages. In-school activities like<br />

United Nations Day and recycling campaigns allow students to<br />

understand the role they play in the global village.<br />

Faculty<br />

The school employs a highly qualified faculty dedicated and<br />

committed to student-centered learning. A generous annual<br />

professional development budget ensures that all faculty<br />

members are not only certified <strong>IB</strong> teachers but are also kept<br />

up-to-date with the latest trends in education and new <strong>IB</strong><br />

methodology. Faculty members attend a compulsory<br />

induction programme at the beginning of the academic year<br />

as well as in-school and external workshops abroad.<br />
