Walford’s exceptional academic reputation for quality
education for young women was sealed in its early years and
has continued throughout the decades.
Walford was the first girls’ school in Australia offering all
three International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes right across
the school and the only girls’ school in South Australia offering
the IB Diploma Programme. Over the past five years, 100% of
the IB diploma graduates gained the diploma on completion of
the programme. More than 50% of Walford students achieved a
tertiary ranking in the top 10% of the state and well over 95% of
Walford graduates go on to university studies.
