Situated in the shadow of the Golden Ears Mountains on a 16
acre campus in beautiful Maple Ridge, British Columbia,
Meadowridge is a secular, coeducational, university
preparatory day school serving students from junior
kindergarten (age four) to grade 12.
With an emphasis on the development of well-rounded
individuals, our students learn to live well, with others and for
others, in a just community. The foundation of that learning is
the safe and supportive environment of the school. Our class
sizes are small in order to provide more individual instruction
and to permit the full participation of every student. The
strong motivation, diligence, and respect for others shown by
Meadowridge students is certainly due in part to these
learning conditions.

Meadowridge is one of only a few IB World Schools in
Canada accredited to offer both the PYP and MYP and we are a
candidate for the IB Diploma Programme with anticipated
accreditation in September 2012. We, as an IB World School in
British Columbia, adhere to the principles of accreditation
outlined by the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools
(CA+IS), Canada’s only internationally recognized school
accreditation agency.
In recent years we expanded our total facility size to 103,000
square feet, which included six new classrooms, a cafeteria,
theatre, and two state-of-the-art science labs. Soon after that we
completed the construction of a second athletic field, which
serves as an international sized soccer pitch. As well we are proud
to house the largest school library collection in the province, with
over 35,000 resources. This year a new gym was completed,
which contains an eight foot bouldering wall, a specially
designed floor and a mirrored wall for movement and dance.
