A world of experience
Prince Alfred College, based in Adelaide, South Australia, is
one of Australia’s leading schools for boys from early learners
(aged two to four) to Year 12. We educate over 1000 boys every
year, including 70 international students from China, Germany,
Hong Kong, India, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
As a day and boarding school, we offer modern home-like
boarding facilities for students in Years 7 to 12, where
Australian and international students mix together with day
students. Our international students are well supported by
multilingual coordinators and teachers.
Integration starts with our onsite International Student
Transition Program, which is supported by culturally trained
staff and a dedicated International Student Coordinator.
We take great care of our international students. They bring the
world to our doorstep and show us a variety of global perspectives.
They enrich our school by their presence and their culture.
“Teachers and staff at PAC are not only concerned about my
academic achievements but they show their concern about my
health and my family. As a multicultural school much respect is
demonstrated regarding my culture.” Young Chan Lee (Korea)
A host of opportunities
We offer two pathways to tertiary study – the International
Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the South
Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). We offer
Vocational Education and Training (VET) for students who
want to move directly into the workforce.
Each year a number of our IB Diploma Programme students
proudly achieve merits in a number of internationally graded
subjects.
We have one of the largest alumni bases in the world. Our
Old Collegians’ Association provides an exceptional base for
business networking as students build and renew friendships
once they leave school and move into their future careers.
Princes Men meet annually across the globe to catch up and to
develop timeless networks.
“I wasn’t inspired to learn until I started the IB course at
PAC. The friendliness of both students and staff allowed me to
fit in to life at Princes quickly and confidently. My education
took off.” Alan Zhou (China)
Developing the Princes Man
In sport, the arts and the classroom, we believe in the school
motto – to go beyond. We are concerned with developing the
whole man, the ‘Princes Man’. We help all our students realize
their full potential by inspiring and challenging them to
exceed their limits.
As well as academic excellence, we provide a strong sporting
and co-curricular program for all boys, including the arts. We
are renowned as an international school for cricket, rowing,
soccer, rugby, basketball, squash, badminton and table
tennis, as well as visual design and technology.
International students work, play and study side by side with
Australian students. Every endeavour is another chance to
develop strong bonds with a diverse group of students.
Together they learn cooperation and teamwork, and build
connections that will last a lifetime.
