Sotogrande School, founded in 1978, is a leading
international, coeducational day and boarding school,
accredited by the Council of International Schools and the
New England Association of Schools and Colleges, and the
National Association of British Schools in Spain. It is a fullyauthorised
International Baccalaureate World School,
providing a coherent and integrated curriculum through the
IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme
(MYP) and the Diploma Programme. Graduates consistently
gain entrance to the best universities worldwide. We are
committed to inclusion and individual learning needs and this
is evident in our extensive English language and special needs
support department.
The learning is student-focused, inquiry-based,

The VLE allows online learning at home where students have
access to their programmes of study and learning resources.
Parents can also access information about homework and
student progress.
Expressive arts are at the heart of the school and students
take part in a wide range of artistic events, activities,
productions, competitions and tours, using the theatre, music
and art studios. Musicians and dramatists are prepared for
examinations with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools
of Music, Trinity Rock School and the London Academy of
Music and Dramatic Art.
The climate and beautiful location of the school affords
exciting opportunities for sports and recreation. The school
has a fully-federated Golf Club, SIGA, and offers first class
coaching after school. In addition students have access to
horse riding, polo and water sports, as well as a range of
conventional sports and inter-school competitions. Facilities
include a multipurpose sports hall, swimming pool, outdoor
basketball/football court and an all-weather sports field and
running track as well as four full-size grass rugby and football
pitches. The residential programme offers a unique Spanish
