Enrolling students from 40 countries (American and British<br />

students represent well over half the population), ACS Egham<br />

International School is known as a friendly and caring<br />

international community that values a holistic approach to<br />

education. The school is an International Baccalaureate<br />

teaching and learning centre of excellence and its philosophy is<br />

based on developing the individual potential of each student. We<br />

promote high standards of scholarship, responsibility and<br />

citizenship through our <strong>IB</strong> programmes so that all our students<br />

can be successful learners. Although there is no formal entrance<br />

exam, ACS Egham is a university-preparatory school, sending its<br />

students to many of the finest universities in the world.<br />

Academic programme<br />

• ACS Egham is an <strong>IB</strong> <strong>World</strong> School and one of only four<br />

schools in the UK to offer the <strong>IB</strong> Primary Years Programme<br />

(3-11), the <strong>IB</strong> Middle Years Programme (11-16) and the <strong>IB</strong><br />

Diploma Programme (16-18).<br />

• ACS Egham graduates attend leading universities around<br />

the world including: Oxford, University College London,<br />

King’s College London, Royal Holloway and University of<br />

Warwick in the UK; Boston University, Texas A&M,<br />

<strong>Stanford</strong> University and Universities of Kansas, Oklahoma<br />

and Southern California in the USA; and other fine<br />

universities in Australia, Canada, Norway and Singapore.<br />

The campus<br />

• ACS Egham is located 25 miles south-west of central<br />

London on a 20 acre site.<br />

• The campus offers superb teaching, sports and cocurricular<br />

facilities including a new <strong>IB</strong> Diploma Centre, Visual Arts &<br />

Design Technology Centre, and a science hub. A new sports<br />

facility is underway for summer 2012 opening.<br />

Student activities<br />

• Extensive and varied cocurricular clubs, sports, and<br />

community service activities both locally and<br />

internationally encourage students to benefit from the<br />

richness of school life.<br />

• Students also participate in international theatre art<br />

programmes, competitive sport tournaments, maths,<br />

literature, and music competitions in the UK and across<br />

Europe.<br />

Admissions<br />

Admissions officers are available throughout the year to<br />

help families enrol. Visits can be arranged on weekdays or<br />

weekends.<br />

• Applicants do not need to sit a formal entrance exam.<br />

• Students are accepted in all grades throughout the year.<br />

• Application forms and previous school records are<br />

required for entry.
