ISS International School was founded in 1981 to serve the
expatriate community in Singapore. Our focus is to nurture
every child to develop his or her maximum potential. ISS also
places strong emphasis on holistic learning, focusing on every
student’s personal and social development.
ISS International School is:

Our Academic Program
• ISS is an authorized IB World School offering PYP
(preschool-grade 5), MYP (grade 6-10) and DP (grade 11-
12). Our Western Association of Schools and Colleges
(WASC) accreditation enables us to offer a High School
Diploma to our IB diploma and IB certificate graduates.
• ISS offers pre-IB diploma skills and IB diploma subject
preparation courses during the summer.

• ISS offers mid-IB diploma summer programme to support
students in work completion before grade 12.
• Academic Year – August to June (Semester 1: Mid-August
to Mid-December, Semester 2: Mid-January to early June).
Faculty
• Teachers from 18 different countries.
• Predominantly trained in United States, Britain, Canada,
New Zealand, and Australia. Many faculty members are
moderators, examiners and workshop leaders for the IB
organization and some are CIS team members.
Student Information
• Students from over 50 countries.
• Class sizes – elementary school: 15-22 students, middle
school: 20-24 students, high school: 15-20 students.
Admissions
• Our admissions staff are available year round to meet with
parents and/or students regarding admissions for all three
schools.
• Applications are accepted year round, subject to places
being available.
• As part of the admissions procedure, we would like to review
the applicant’s school reports/transcripts for the past three
years, and the ‘school transfer form’ from the previous
school about the applicant’s aptitude and attitude.
• Students must pass our English language proficiency test
to be eligible for admission.
