Located across 20 acres of grounds in Northwood, Middlesex,
close to Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire and with easy
access by underground from central London, St Helen’s
School offers day places to girls aged 3 to 18.
The school offers both the International Baccalaureate
Diploma Programme and A levels to sixth form students. Our
sixth form is a vibrant community of approximately 170 girls.
Class sizes are small with study programmes tailored to meet
individual needs. Girls consistently achieve excellent results,
going on to prestigious universities of their first choice.
League tables in The Times and the Financial Times have
placed St Helen’s in the top five IB schools in the UK, with 45%
of our recent IB graduates achieving 40 points or more.
Girls go on to pursue a wide variety of courses and
opportunities at university, with our graduates studying
subjects such as architecture, dentistry, engineering,
geography, history, law, medicine and veterinary medicine at
universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, Imperial
College, UCL and Nottingham.

Classroom-based work is complemented by a wide range of
extracurricular activities including concerts, plays, the
Combined Cadet Force organised jointly with Merchant
Taylors’ School, and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme,
as well as a huge variety of clubs and societies. Trips and visits
complement and enrich learning and we place a high priority
on careers education, with all girls doing work experience in
the UK or in Europe.
St Helen’s offers every pupil an academic, innovative and
stimulating education, enabling each girl to develop her
intellectual, creative and physical talents to the full. Students
are encouraged to develop lifelong skills in a diverse range of
areas and to pursue their individual talents and ambitions, in
