Towards the Analysis of Borrowing Phraseological
and Old Religious Expressions, Blessing and
Cursing Formulae in Svan
S u m m a r y
Svan phraseological expressions (idioms and phraseologic correspondences),
sayings with old religious contents, blessing and coursing formulae are not
thoroughly studies on the basis of dialectal and sub-dialectal material by anyone up-todate.
People's culture, customs, life pictures and historical events are well kept just in
such expressions. Owing to this studying a language from this standpoint promote to
conscious the peculiarities of mental and soul life of the people speaking this or that
language.
Observation on Svan prosaic texts dictionaries as well as their various material
obtained by me during the field work showed, that one part of Svan phraseologisms
have been originated from other languages on the basis of borrowing and calquing.
It should be said that comparatively the number of loan phraseologic expressions,
sayings of old religious contents, blessing and coursing formulae as a rule is less then
of prop. Svan material.
The paper represents structural-semantic analysis of analyzing lexical entries and
word-correspondences in condition of historical-ethnographie and folklore material.
