The sheer luck of working together in these courses
will certainly dominate the memories of those
involved. In August and September 2020, between
two online semesters due to pandemic
waves, it was possible to hold two earth building
seminars and the final workshop of the seminar
Building with Renewable Resources in the outdoor
space, in presence and without incidence.
LEARNING WHILE BUILDING is an important element
in conveying the content of building technology.
Spring and summer are just the right time to
delve into it.
In the summer of 2020, under the impression
of the corona pandemic, the material and
group-focused teaching method Building in Real
and Together became an anachronism that must
be urgently avoided overnight. In the course of
the first Corona year, however, a number of ways
have emerged to enable or at least to initiate

Project work in SMALL GROUP
Several small groups were able to continue working
as part of freelance study projects. The care
took place online and later outdoors in a large
circle of chairs. The Arancia group was able to
complete the shell for their orangery and erect
the building on the slaughterhouse site.
