Summary:<br />

The aim of this study was to analyze the content of minority media in Hungarian, Croatian<br />

and Romany language in Serbia, and its interpretation within the socio-political and legal<br />

framework of this country. The sample is consisted of central informative programs in these<br />

three languages broadcasted on the Public Service of Vojvodina, and the relevant radio<br />

contents and print media published in Hungarian, Croatian and Romany languages. Time<br />

span covers the period from February to September 2012 year. Additionally, results gathered<br />

through content analysis were interpreted throughout in-depth 15 interviews. Representatives<br />

of minority communities, media on minority languages, and media experts, commented on<br />

results and main trends, sharing with us their standpoints and providing some ideas and<br />

solutions to improve the current status, functioning, and the overall concept of media in<br />

minority languages.<br />
