Etické otázky výskumu môţeme rozdeliť do dvoch hlavných okruhov: prvý zahŕňa etiku
výskumnej práce samotnej ako práce vedeckej, druhý etické zásady práce s účastníkmi
výskumu. Tento druhý okruh je závaţný najmä pri výskumoch sociálnych.
Etika vedeckej práce má v sebe zahrnutých niekoľko aspektov: výskumník musí mať neustále
objektívny pohľad, musí prijať aj také výsledky, ktoré sú v rozpore s jeho pôvodnými
očakávaniami, musí výskumnú prácu robiť podľa svojich najlepších schopností (za rozvoj
ktorých nesie zodpovednosť), nesmie svoju rolu vyuţívať na iné účely, napríklad k budovaniu
pozícií v organizácii, musí byť nezávislý a jeho úlohou nie je hájiť záujmy zadávateľov
výskumu. Pri tímovej práci treba uvádzať autorstvo spolupracovníkov. Musí zaistiť citlivé
informácie proti zneuţitiu. Výskum citlivých oblastí, ako býva výskum drogových závislostí
a pod. musí byť navrhnutý tak, aby bola zaistená bezpečnosť výskumníkov. Osoby nesmú byť
objektmi výskumu, pokiaľ s tým nesúhlasia.

Abstract
Ethical issues of research can be divided in two main areas: the first includes the ethics of
research work as a work of scientists, the second is ethical principle of working with research
participants. This aspect is particularly significant in social studies.
Ethics of scientific work has involved several aspects: the investigator must always have an
objective view, must accept the results that are inconsistent with its original expectations, the
research work must be done under the best of his/her abilities (a development of which the
research worker is responsible), researcher must not use his position for other purposes, for
example, to build position in the organization he works for, must be independent and its role
is not to defend the interests of contractors of research. To give the authorship of collaborators
when research is teamwork is needed. The researcher must ensure sensitive information
against misuse. Research on sensitive areas such as drug addiction, etc. must be designed to
ensure the safety of researchers. Persons shall not be objects of research when they disagree.
