3.06 ADJUSTING AND CLEANING:
A. Clean each vibration control unit, and verify that each is working freely and that there is
no dirt or debris in immediate vicinity of unit that could possibly short- circuit unit isolation.
3.07 DEFLECTION MEASUREMENTS:
A. Upon completion of vibration isolation work, prepare report showing measured equipment
deflections, theoretical floor deflection and isolation efficiency for each major item of
equipment.
3.08 QUIET OPERATION AND VIBRATION:
A. Mechanical equipment provided under this contract shall operate under all load conditions
without noise or vibration which is objectionable in the opinion of the Engineer. In the
case of rotating machinery, noise or vibration noticeable outside of the room in which it is
installed, or annoyingly noticeable inside its own room, will be considered objectionable.
Noise or vibration conditions considered objectionable by the Engineer shall be corrected
in an approved manner by the Contractor at his expense. Vibration control shall be
accomplished by means of approved vibration isolators installed in a manner
recommended by the manufacturer of the isolators.
