B. Type of Contract:
1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract.
1.4 CORRELATION AND INTENT OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
A. The intent of the Contract Documents is to include all items necessary for the proper
execution and completion of the Work. The Contract Documents are complementary,
and what is required by one shall be as binding as if required by all. Anything
mentioned in the Specifications and not shown on the Drawings, or shown on the
Drawings and not mentioned in the Specifications, shall be of like effect as if shown or
mentioned in both; performance by the Contractor shall be required only to the extent
consistent with the Contract Documents and reasonably inferable from them as being
necessary to produce the indicated results.
B. The Drawings and Specifications have no inherent order of precedence.
C. Organization of the Specifications into divisions, sections and articles, and
arrangement of Drawings shall not control the Contractor in dividing the Work among
Subcontractors or in establishing the extent of Work to be performed by any trade.
D. Unless otherwise stated in the Contract Documents, words which have well-known
technical or construction industry meanings are used in the Contract Documents in
accordance with such recognized meanings.
E. Construction Documents include:

2. Hampton USA Standards Effective 8/1/2010
1.5 OWNER-FURNISHED PRODUCTS
A. Owner will furnish products indicated. The Work includes receiving, unloading,
handling, storing, protecting, and installing Owner-furnished products and making
building services connections.
1.6 ACCESS TO SITE
A. General: Contractor shall have full use of Project site for construction operations
during construction period. Contractor's use of Project site is limited only by Owner's
right to perform work or to retain other contractors on portions of Project.
B. Condition of Existing Building: Maintain portions of existing building affected by
construction operations in a weathertight condition throughout construction period.
Repair damage caused by construction operations.
1.7 WORK RESTRICTIONS
A. Nonsmoking Building: Smoking is not permitted within the building or within 25 feet of
entrances, operable windows, or outdoor-air intakes.
