shall be duplex/simplex completely factory pre-piped and mounted on a skid drip pan
ready to install. Each pump shall have the following:
1. Oil pressure relief valve and return to suction piping.
2. Belt/Coupling guard
3. Back pressure regulating valve (shipped loose; installed by M.C.)
4. Discharge check valve
5. Discharge manual valve
6. Suction side manual valve
7. Compound pressure gauge on suction line with gauge cock.
8. Strainer with isolation valves on each side of it.
9. Pressure gauge or discharge with gauge cock.
10. Cross over bridge piping on suction and discharge lines for parallel piping
arrangement on duplex installation.
11. Provide pressure measuring taps or both suction and discharge for pressure
differential switch provided by others, coordinate with temperature control
contractor.
B. Drive: V-belt drive, with belt guard.
C. Drive: Direct drive, close coupled.
D. Motor: Split phase for single-phase motors; capacitor start, induction-run, totally enclosed
for 3-phase motors.
E. Controls: Controls shall include simplex/duplex factory prewired control panel consisting
of H-O-A starter(s), thermal overload protection, auxiliary contacts for remote startstop.
For duplex installation provide alternator and lead-lag control function.
2.11 SUBMERSIBLE FUEL OIL PUMP:
A. Pump shall be complete with the following:
1. Check valve
2. Air eliminator
3. Expansion relief valve
4. Syphon nozzle and venturi
5. Syphon check valve and pressure test screw
6. Accessible capacitor and electrical disconnect
7. Leak detector head
8. Bayonet-type electrical connector with explosion-proof electric disconnect without
separating wires
9. Pressure relief and check valves which can be isolated during a line pressure test.
10. Tank and line test ports
11. All leakage directed into storage tank.
12. Hydraulically balanced Calcon impellers
13. On-winding thermal overcurrent motor protection
14. Permanent split-phase capacitor motor, 208-230 v single phase.
B. Submersible pump(s) shall be as manufactured by Red Jacket Pumps a Marley Company.
Capacity and model designation shall be as scheduled on drawings.
