I enclose, for your information, letter of February 16, 1948, received from the Elgin Sweeper Company of Elgin, Illinois, stating that the sweeper can be shipped to us in 30 days* This particular sweeper is very necessary and desirable in order to keep the streets clean, and also, if we do not act at once, it will be impossible to secure a new sweeper for at least two years, as all orders are now taken with the understanding that it may be at least two years before delivery.
