Aldermen, <strong>City</strong> Hall, <strong>Somerville</strong>,<br />

April 9, 1948, 8 P. M.<br />

The President, Alderman Mallard, presiding.<br />

Alderaen Ryan, McCarthy, Reynolds, Stackpole, Hall,<br />

Butler, Capuano, Whitney and Vice-president Brady present*<br />

Reading <strong>of</strong> records commenced; further reading dispensed<br />

with under a suspension <strong>of</strong> the rules and records<br />

approved by yea and nay vote. Aldermen Ryan, McCarthy,<br />

Reynolds, Hall, Capuano, Whitney, Vice-president Brady and<br />

the President, 8, voting in the affirmative; Aldermen Kurd,<br />

Stackpole and Butler, 3, being absent at this stage <strong>of</strong> the<br />

meeting.<br />

Due notice pf the hearings having baen given by<br />

the <strong>City</strong> Clerk in the manner provided by law and provided<br />

"by ordinance, hearings were given for all persons desiring<br />

to be heard on the following:<br />

Podakins Service Station for a used car dealer's license, 74567<br />

2nd class/ a't 191 Beacon'St*<br />

Washington Auto Service for a used car ,dealerj_s_lic_ens,e_, 74568<br />

2nd class, at 568 <strong>Somerville</strong> Ave.<br />

In the matter <strong>of</strong> the petition <strong>of</strong> Dodakins Service<br />

Station for a used car dealer's license, 2nd class, at 191<br />

Beacon Street, Lloyd Dyken, 73 Park St., and Anthony Kana,<br />

17 Morgan St., appeared in objection. Charles Dodakins,<br />

petitioner, appeared in favor.<br />

In the matter <strong>of</strong> the petition <strong>of</strong> Washington Auto<br />

Service for a used car dealer's license, 2nd class, at 368<br />

<strong>Somerville</strong> Avenue, John O'Connell, 44 Florence St., peti-<br />

tioner, and Aubrey Sstabrook, 1 Washington St., appeared<br />

in favor.<br />

No other persons interested, appearing and de-<br />

siring to be heard, the hearings were closed.<br />

from the Building Department School Buildings, Janitors'<br />

Salaries to the Pension Account to cover the pension <strong>of</strong><br />

Walter M. Burns which starts on March 15, 1948.<br />
