the Highway Commissioner shall make provisions to lay out<br />

_§ndj3aye,_the island in the center <strong>of</strong> Broadway between<br />

Sargent Avenue and Walnut Street for use as a parking area,<br />

thus eliminating the parking problem in J;Ms _v_lcinity.<br />

That all city owned vehicles exclusive<br />

<strong>of</strong> Police Inspectors 1 vehicles be lettered with the words<br />

"Clty_<strong>of</strong> Somarville" and with the name <strong>of</strong> the respective de-<br />

partments, and each department head shall submit eleven<br />

copies <strong>of</strong> a list itemizing each vehicle in his department.<br />

The lettering shall be done and the lists submitted no later<br />

than May 1, 1948, to the Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen, and further, the<br />

president shall appoint a committee, <strong>of</strong> three aldermen to in-<br />

spect all city owned vehicles on May 1st, 1948, to ascertain<br />

that the provisions <strong>of</strong> this order have been complied with.<br />

issued on order <strong>of</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Aldeimen to Matthew Pettina,to<br />

for._a__wpp_den_sign over the sidewalk at 302 <strong>Somerville</strong> Aye.,<br />

on March 14, 1947, be and it hereby is released from further^<br />

liability as surety on said bond, provided, however ]<br />

that this release shall not affect or release the liability<br />

<strong>of</strong> the said surety on account <strong>of</strong> any obligation arising in<br />

connection with said bond prior to the date <strong>of</strong> the approval<br />
