Ordered:
That a general policy similar to the
system In operation successfully in other cities be de—_
veloped between our police and School Departments for ex-
tending the_ Sohppl_ Boys 1 Traffic Patrol throughout our
City, in order that children attending all of our Schools
may receive the benefits and training of this splendid
service so essential to the safety of school children and
helpful to motorists also on highways and at intersection
crossings near our School Buildings.

That hia honor the Mayor Is urgently

requested to approve the order of Alderman Irving L«
Stackpole, recently passed by this Board of Aldermen,,
advocating the purchase by the City of Somerville» of a
new ambulance for the police Department. : The city is
at the present time without an ambulance and the use of
a Patrol Wagon is inadequate and the hire of private
ambulances Is at a prohibitive cost to the citizens of
Somerville, and said citizens should have a proper am-
bulance at their disposal in\ the case of necessity.

.The Football Team 'of Somerville,
High_School has just completed a rigid schedule,, and
have accredited themselves highly, showing ability,
spirit and sportsmanship, and

By their actions on the field of
sport, they have brought credit not only to their school,
but to the City of somerville, be it therefore
Resolved:
That his honor the Mayor, the President
of the Board of Aldermen, and the Chairman of the
School Committee, form a committee to adequately honor
the members of the Football. Team _and commend them, for
the fine showing made by them during the football season,
and be it further
Resolved:
That President Leo B, Mallard, of
the Board of Aldermen act as Chairman of this committee.
