ORDINANCE NO. 74152
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF_CHAPTER V
OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES
Be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the City
of Somerville, as follows:
Section 1» Section 1 of_Chapter V of the Revised
Ordinances is hereby amended so as to rbacf as' follows:
"Section 1. All bonds lssu,ed_by . the_.City
jhall be signed by the City Treasurer ancf_ countersj-gned
by the Mayor and the City^ Auditor," and
shall bear the seal of the "City. 'Sa'id bbnds~_
be disposed of under the direction of the
jjqyor in such manner as may be_s_t promote the
"Interests of~"t"he City._ After any issue" of 'said
bonds, the City Treasurer shall report to the
Board of Aldermen at the first meeting thereof
a transcript of his register of the same,
setting forth the number, amount, time of
maturity, number of coupons, amount of each,
rate of interest, and purpose of issue of each
bond so registered. Registered bonds of the
City may be issued by the City Treasurer in the
manner provided by law in exchange for any bonds
of the City now or hereafter outstanding."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon
