The Chief of the Somerville Police
Department is hereby requested to station a Traffic Offl-
cer at the intersection of Shore Drive, Fellsway and Mld-
dleaex Avenue,_ for the purpose of assisting school chil-
dren and pedestrians to cross the street to the car stop.
The traffic at this point Is heavy and the condition as
it exists, is hazardous, and the Chief of Police should
station the Traffic Officer at this point between the
hours of 7*30 A.M. and S*30 A.M.

That the Metropolitan Transit Au-
thority is hereby requested to provide an additional bus.
on Myetic Avenue_between the hours of 7 A.M. and 9 A.M.
on week days. The present service is inadequate and can-
not possibly accommodate the residents of this area. The
additional bus would not have to go to Medford, but could
turn around at the Bal -. A - Roue Rollerway, at 37^
Mystic Avenue, because the heed is only for Somervillfe
residents, and they are entitled to better service.

That American Surety Company of New
York, the surety on sign permit bond 337276-K said bond ~
being given_to secure the City of Somerville on account
of a license 'issued oh order of Board of Aldermen to
Western Union Telegraph Co. for a sign over the sidewalk
aT"6 Holland Street on May 11, 19U4-, be and it hereby .is
released from further liability as surety on said bond,
provided, however, that this release shall not affect or
release the liability of the said surety on account of any
obligation arising in connection with said bond prior to
the date of the approval of this order by the Mayor.
_The said sign having been taken down, the li_cense
granted to Western Union Telegraph Co. for a sign
over the sidewalk at 6 Holland Street is hereby revoked.
Upon the approval of this order by the Mayor,
the City Clerk Is hereby directed to forward a copy of
this order to the surety company above mentioned.
