SECTION 2. No person shall cause or allow a
vehicle other than a vehicle propelled by hand to pass along
any portion of Wheatland Street except in a southerly direction
from Mystic Avenue to Broadway.
SECTION 3. Whoever violates any provision of this
ordinance shall be liable to a penalty of not exceeding two
(2) dollars for the first offense, and not more than twenty
(20) dollars for each subsequent offense of a like nature,
committed during a period of one (1) year.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon
its passage and approval by the Department of Public Works,
Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be effective
only during such times as a sufficient number of official
signs are erected and maintained in accordance with the •
General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Read twice and further action deferred under the
rules until tha ordinance shall have been printed and a
copy laid on the desk of each alderman*

the surety on sign permit'bond', said bond being given to
secure~~tfie"City of Somerville on account of a license Issued
on order of Board of Aldermen to H. P. Hood & Sons Inc". for
a js^gn/over the sidewalk at 420 Highland Avenue, on.February
1"2, 1942, be and it hereby is released from further liability
as surety on said bond, provided, however that this release
shall not affect or release the liability of the said
surety on account of any obligation arising in connection
with said bond prior to the date of the approval of this
order by the Mayor.
A new permit having been granted to Colstone Foods,
Inc. and new bond"having been filed with United States
Guarantee Company, the license granted to H. P. Hood &
Sons Inc. for a sign over the sidewalk at 420 Highland
Avenue 'is' hereby revoked._
Upon the approval of this order by the Mayor, the
City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this
order to the surety company above mentioned.
