The President, Alderman Mallard, presiding.
Aldermen Ryan, Radochia, McCarthy, Reynolds,
Stackpole, Hall, Butler, Capuano, Whitne^ and Vice-president
Brady present.
Reading of records commenced; further reading dispensed
with under a suspension of the rules and records
approved by yea and nay vote, Aldermen Ryan, McCarthy,
Stackpole, Hall, Butler, Capuano, Whitney, Vice-president
Brady and the President, 9, voting in the affirmative;
Alderman Reynolds, 1, being absent at this stage of the
meeting.
COMMUNICATION FROM HIS HONOR THE MAYOR
Received the following,
Incorporation
Forwarding application for certificate df 75247
incorporation from Roderick L. Grace and Fernando Maciel,
both of Somerville; and others (not residents of Somerville)
under the name of_Greer Employees ! Association, _Inc. for
the purpose of the following; The object of this Associa-
tion is exclusively to encourage participation in group
recreational, social, relief and self-improvement activities
by and for its members and their families, and to promote
mutual acquaintance and friendships among them* The
Association aims to foster and finance such activities in
an organized way. Its purpose, also, is to own and admin-
ister equipment devoted exclusively to these purposes. Any
net earnings shall be devoted exclusively to these purposes
and shall not inure to the profit of members. The Associa-
tion may cooperate in community activities consistent with
these purposes, to be located in the City of Cambridge,
Mass., said application being accompanied by a report
from the Chief of Police stating that on investigation
we fail to find any record of the above mentioned persons
ever having been engaged in the illegal selling of intox-
icating liquors or in the keeping of places or tenements for
the purpose of illegal gaming or in any other business pro-
hibited by law. I
