The following resolution and order was offered, pesolutlon
and Order
Whereas: 751^2
the members of the Board of Aldermen_ln
good faith, in conjunction with a Committee of public
splrrtedrjDiti2ens_in_our ^desire to__aid_and_help the. ,Somervil'Je
Drive for the ""Jimmy Fund for Cancer Relief",
were led to believe that the "Endy Brothers Shovj^_were
sincere in their offer to help us further that purpose,
and
Y/hereas:
Because they offered to donate the sum
of fifteen hundred ($1500.) dollars to the "Jimmy Fund
Cancer Relief Fund Campaign 0 for a permit to offer "rides"
and "shows" in order to finance their contribution, with
positive assurance that no illegal games would be permitted,
nor any suggestive shows would be staged, and because,
as events have already demonstrated that the "Endy 1 a
Brothers Show" is not in any fashioner manner what_t_he
representative of said show_purportecLj:o_be, but is In
effect a Carnival in the real sense of the word, where
the people will be milked of sums of -money far in excess
of the benefit to be given to the "Jimmy Fund", and in
addition-will, as already been demonstrated, constitute
a_publ'ic nuisance of such proportions as to cause_lr-

menace to the morals of our youth, be_it_tjierefore,
Ordered;
That the license issued to_ Endy_ Brothers
Inc. be herewith revoked and that the Police Department
enforce_thi_s _brder immediately.
