AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER XLVII, SECTION 8,<br />

OP""Tfffi_REVISED ORDINANCES, MISCELLANEOUS<br />

Be it ordained by the Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen, <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Somerville</strong>, as follows:<br />

SECTION 1. Chapter XLVII, Section 8, Miscellaneous,<br />

is hereby amended so as to read as follows;<br />

"Section 8. There shall be inscribed on the<br />

front doors <strong>of</strong> all cars and trucks and other<br />

c"i'ty owned vehicles, the name <strong>of</strong> the respective<br />

department in charge <strong>of</strong> said vehicle<br />

and the words ! <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> "Soraerville 1 by,<br />

painting same thereon, .in letters <strong>of</strong> con-<br />

.traating color, said letters to be no less<br />

than two (2) inches in height. Police Inspectors<br />

1 cars not to be subject to these<br />

provisiona.<br />

When the head <strong>of</strong> any department fails<br />

to have this inscription on any car or<br />

truck or other vehicle owned by the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Somerville</strong>, he may be summoned before the<br />

Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen.<br />

All city owned vehicles shall be placed<br />

in their respective garages at the end <strong>of</strong> an<br />

ordinary business day, with the exception <strong>of</strong><br />

those vehicles that are on emergency work.<br />

Police Inspectors' cars not to be subject<br />

to these provisions."<br />

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon<br />

its passage.<br />
