Alderman Ryan <strong>of</strong>fered the following orders,<br />

That United States Guarantee Company;<br />

the surety on sign permit bond 1383567, said bond being<br />

given to secure the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Somerville</strong> on account <strong>of</strong> a<br />

'license " issued on order <strong>of</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen to The Borden<br />

'Co. for a sign over the sidewalk at ISA College Ave., on"<br />

April 23, 1942, be and it hereby is released from further<br />

liability as surety on said bond, provided, however, that<br />

this release shall not affect 6r~ release the liability <strong>of</strong><br />

the. said surety on account <strong>of</strong> any Obligation arising in<br />

connection with said bond prior to the date <strong>of</strong> the approval<br />

<strong>of</strong> this order by the Mayor.<br />

_The_said sign having been taken down, the license<br />

_to_The Borden Co. for a sign over the sidewalk at"<br />

College Avenue is hereby revoked.<br />

Upon the approval <strong>of</strong> this order by the Mayor, the<br />

<strong>City</strong> Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy <strong>of</strong> this<br />

order to the surety company above mentioned.<br />
