Alderman Ryan offered the following orders,
Ordered: 75022
That United States Guarantee Company;
the surety on sign permit bond 1383567, said bond being
given to secure the City of Somerville on account of a
'license " issued on order of Board of Aldermen to The Borden
'Co. for a sign over the sidewalk at ISA College Ave., on"
April 23, 1942, be and it hereby is released from further
liability as surety on said bond, provided, however, that
this release shall not affect 6r~ release the liability of
the. said surety on account of any Obligation arising in
connection with said bond prior to the date of the approval
of this order by the Mayor.
_The_said sign having been taken down, the license
_to_The Borden Co. for a sign over the sidewalk at"
College Avenue is hereby revoked.
Upon the approval of this order by the Mayor, the
City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this
order to the surety company above mentioned.

Authorizing Increases of the Amounts of Pensions Payable_tp
Certain Former Public Employees "Who have Been Retired and
to Beneficiaries of Certain Retired Public Employees, is
hereby accepted.
Adopted.

and according to act Mayor's approval being necessary,

a permanent member of Engine Company #4 of the Fire Department

performed many years of faithful, competent and
zealous service as a member of that Department for many
years displaying at all times loyalty and respect to his
superiors and devotion to duty in his service to our people,
