the members having been duly<br />

notified in writing, <strong>City</strong> Hall,<br />

<strong>Somerville</strong>, April 7, 1948,<br />

7 P. M.<br />

The President, Alderman Mallard, presiding.<br />

Aldermen Ryan, McCarthy, Reynolds, Stackpole, Hall,<br />

Butler, Capuano, Whitney and Vice-president Brady present.<br />

Reading <strong>of</strong> records commenced; further reading<br />

dispensed with under a suspension <strong>of</strong> the rules and records<br />

approved by yea and nay vote, Aldermen Ryan, McCarthy,<br />

Reynolds, Stackpole, Hall, Butler, Capuano, Whitney, Vicepresident<br />

Brady and the President, 10, voting in the<br />

affirmative; Alderman Hurd, 1, being absent at this stage<br />

<strong>of</strong> the meeting.<br />

JURORS<br />

Received a special venire for the drawing <strong>of</strong> two<br />

men to serve as traverse jurors at the Superior Court now<br />

in session at Cambridge, the persons so drawn to appear<br />

and attend at the first session <strong>of</strong> said court on Monday,<br />

the twelfth day <strong>of</strong> April, 1948, at 10 A.M.<br />

The box containing the names being shaken and the<br />

slips or ballots bearing the names being mixed, Aldermen<br />

Whitney and Stackpole being designated for that purpose<br />

drew from the box and read aloud names as follows:<br />

1. John Sluben 104 Line St. Machinist<br />

2, John No Tedesco 11 Arnold Ave. Pence maker<br />

Received a special venire for the drawing <strong>of</strong> two<br />

men to serve as traverse jurors at the Superior Court now<br />

In session at Cambridge, the persons so drawn to appear<br />

and attend at the second session <strong>of</strong> said court on Monday,<br />

the twelfth day <strong>of</strong> April, 1948, at 10 A.M.<br />

follows:<br />

Aldermen Whitney and Stackpole drew names as<br />

1. Daniel Davis 82 Munroe St. Checker<br />

2. Roger W. Lennon 6 Liberty Ave. Shipper<br />

The slips or ballots bearing the names were passed<br />

by the Aldermen to the President, who verified the names<br />

and passed them to the <strong>City</strong> Clerk, who also verified the<br />

names by reading them aloud from said slips or ballots,<br />

which were then duly endorsed and returned to the jury box.<br />
