Reading <strong>of</strong> records commenced; further reading dispensed<br />

with under a suspension <strong>of</strong> the rules and records<br />

approved by yea and nay vote, Aldenrien R yan, McCarthy,<br />

Reynolds, Stackpole, Hall, Butler, Capuano, Whitney,^Vicepresident<br />

Brady and the President, 10, voting ifi the affirmative,<br />

Alderman Kurd, 1, being absent at this stage <strong>of</strong> the<br />

meeting.<br />

JURORS,<br />

Received a special venire for the drawing <strong>of</strong> five<br />

men to serve as traverse jurors at the Superior Court now<br />

in session at Cambridge, the persons so drawn to appear 'and<br />

attend at the first session <strong>of</strong> said court on Monday, the<br />

seventh day <strong>of</strong> June, 1948, at 10 A.M. (Criminal business)<br />

The box containing the names being shaken and the<br />

slips or ballots bearing the names being mixed, Aldermen<br />

Whitney and Capuano being designated for that purpose drew<br />

from the box and read aloud name's as* follows:<br />

1. Francis C. Wenz 30 Adams St.- Clerk<br />

2. William A. Banks 30 Mead St. Carpenter<br />

3* George S. Cooling 42 Benton Rd. Photographer<br />

4, Joseph Lima ' 22 Houghton" St. Repairman<br />

5. William J. Donovan 31 Franklin St. Accountant<br />

The slips or ballots bearing'the names were passed<br />

by the Aldermen to the President, who verified the names<br />

and. passed them to the <strong>City</strong> Cleric/ who also verified tha<br />

names by reading them aloud from"said slips or ballots<br />

which were then duly endorsed and returned to the Jury box.<br />

Due notice <strong>of</strong> the hearings having been giveh by' '<br />

the <strong>City</strong> Clerk in the manner provided by law and provided<br />

by ordinance, hearings were given for all persons desiring<br />
