Alderman Stackpole offered the following order and

The Chief of the Somervllle Fire Depart-
ment is requested to submit to the Board of Aldermen all
outstanding Medical Bills resulting from injuries to
Firemen received in the line of duty, and all outstanding
bills for personal property damage occurring in the line
of duty. Said bills to be submitted at the next regular
meeting of the Board of Aldermen. This order also to
include Police Department.

as an employee of the Water Department, and
WHEREAS:
Mr. Mellor has faithfully performed over 29 years
of competent service as a member of that Department, be it
therefore
RESOLVED: that we extend to him at__this time our appreciatlon
for the exemplary service he has rendered the. ^peojple
of^our City, and take pleasure in wishing him many years
of happiness an,d good health to_c_om_e_,_ and be it further
RESOLVED: that the City Clerk be requested to send a copy
of this resolution to Mr. Mellor.

it is with regret that we the members of the
Somerville Board of Aldermen learn of the Athletic defeat
o'f Somerville High School Basket-ball team, and
WHEREAS:
they were truly representative of the highest type
of sportsmen who have ever represented the City of Somerville
in athletic contests and,
WHEREAS:
we know that they will emerge from the temporary
setback to even greater athletic victories in the future,
