Ordered:
215 feet northwest of Bockwith
Circle - One (1) pole.
That without notice or hearing the location
for said existing pole and such other fixtures as may Tbe
necessary to sustain or protect the wires of the line is
hereby transferred to said New 'England ^Telephone arfd_Telegraph
Company.
The foregoing authority and location is granted
subject to all the provisions of law and of all existing and
future ordinances of the city and orders of the Board of
Aldermen and upon condition that all said provisions of law,
ordinances and ordors shall bo complied with by said corporation.
Said order is adopted and said permission granted
in accordance with agreement B769 and/or C67-, year 1925, on
file in the office of the City Treasurer, City of Somerville.
This order supersedes a similar order passed by this
Board February 27, 1948 and approved by the Acting Mayor
March 3, 1948.

and to eliminate the jpresent^danger^ due to unresjtrajLned
heavy Motor Traffic, particularly at night, on_Somorville
Avenue between Union Square and the North Cambridge line_, and
on Elm Street through Davis Square, the following is hereby
requested:
Commissioner of Electric Linos and Lights to make_
survey with the purpose _of_installing_Traff_lc Signal lights
at most effective and desirable locations thereon;
Chief of Police to communicate with and solicit_ the
cooperation of the various long-distance Motor transporta-
tion Companies using this Highway with heavy tonnage enroute

to westerly or northerly destinations, and local companies
such as the^Whiting Milk Company and others garaging their
equipment on Somerville Avenue or on an adjacent highways
and the
Chief of Police, through the Traffic Division to
arrange for the So-called "Traps" or devise other moans to
reduce and lessen the hazards caused by the present unre-
stricted flow of Motor vehicles on this highway which is a
