Special meeting of the Board of
Aldermen, called by his honor,
the Mayor, to receive and take action
on communications from the
Mayor, and for the drawing of
Jurors, all the members having
been duly notified in writing,
City Hall, Somerville, September
7, 19%, 8 P-H.
The President, Alderman Mallard presiding.
Aldermen Ryan, Radochia, McCarthy, Stackpole, Hall,
Butler, Capuano. and' Whitney present.
Reading of records commenced; further reading dispensed
with under a suspension of the rules and records approved
by yea and nay vote. Aldermen Ryan, Radochia, Mc-
Carthy, Stackpole, Hall, Capuano, Whitney and President
Mallard, g, voting in the affirmative; Aldermen Reynolds,
Butler and Vice-president Brady, 3, being absent at this
stage of the meeting.
JURORS
Received a special venire for the drawing of six
men to serve as Traverse Jurors at the Superior Court now
in session at Cambridge, the persons so drawn to appear and
attend at the first session of said court on Monday, the
twentieth day of September, 19^g at 10 A.M. (Criminal business)
The box containing the names being shaken, and the
slips or ballots bearing the names being mixed, Aldermen
McCarthy and Ryan, being designated for that purpose, drew
from the box and read aloud names as follows:

The slips or ballots bearing the names were
passed by the Aldermen to the president, who verified the
names and passed them to the City Clerk, who also verified
the names by reading them aloud from said slips or
ballots, which were then duly endorsed and returned to
the Jury box.
