Resolution Whereas: 755^5 It_has come to the attention of the Somervilie .Board of Aldermen]that the deficit of the .Metropolitan Transit Au-thority has and w,);ll reach an all time jrjec.pr_d high, in-ag-much as the cities and town's of metro-ipolitan Bogton are. now faced with a deficit of approxl- ' mafely $6,§00,000..00 for a nine month period, and will 1 at the end of one year be approximately eight and one-half to nine million dollars, and that this is an unjustifiable and unwarranted seizure' of the taxpayers money of the citizens of gomerville, therefore be it Resolved': That tfce Board of Aldermen be recorded by vote as instructing his fionor'the Mayor an'd all other City Officials to refuse to pay said deflcit/and Invite all the cities and towns in the Metropolitan District to do likewise and to declare a strike against such deficiency. * Read twice and adopted.
