That in connection with advice received
from Patrick J. Connelly, Postmaster at Boston to
the residents of the section that the Letter-Box locat_ed
for many^yea~rs at the corner of Pearl and Cross Street_s
woul'd be'again restored when the City of Somerville wo'uld
erect a replacement post at that junction, the Commissioner
of Streets and the Commissioner of Electric Lines and
Lights are requested to investigate the matter with the
view of complying so as to permit the Postal collections
to be again 'restored to the residents of that community.
This Board of Aldermen having been informed that due to
the crash of a truck during the past winter the post and
letter-box in use there for many years was broken down
and residents of that section have been deprived of
regular postal collection service during this long period.
Adopted.
Alderman Stackpole offered the following order,

That the sum of_twelve thousand,
four hundred thirteen dollars and sixty-two cents
(£12,415,62) is hereby transferred from ^xcess and Defi-
ciency Account to the Recreation Commission, Personal
Service Account.

ther action delayed.
