members having been duly notified

The Vice-president, Alderman ^rady, presiding.
The President, Alderman Mallard, was present in the
Board of Aldermen's Chamber, but was not seated.
Aldermen Ryan, McCarthy, Stackpole, Hall, Butldr,
Capuano- and Whitney present*
Reading of records commenced; further reading dispensed
with under a suspension of the rules and records
approved by yea and nay vote, Aldermen Ryan, McCarthy,
Stackpole, Hall, Butler, Capuano, Whitney, Vice-president
Brady, 8, voting in the affirmative. Aldermen Kurd and
Reynolds, 2, being absent at this stage of the meeting.
President Mallard not present for voting. . •
