Gentlemen:
X, respectfully request the approval of your
Honorable Board to the transfer of "$5200.00 from Scho'ol
Teachers 1 Salary Account to School Committee, Contingent
Account, Ordinary Maintenance.
This request is necessary (1) for the immediate
purchase of additional equipment for the Clerical Practice
classes, the enrollment of which increased materially
at the beginning of this school year without any evidence
of such an Increase at the time of the preparation of the
budget in 19**7» (2) for the replacement of mimeographing
and typewriting equipment on which there will be substantial
increases in price, which it is anticipated will
be within the next fifteen days, and (3) to provide two
pieces of very necessary equipment for the Vocational
School, which it was expected oould be obtained without
charge from War Assets.
