There have been repeated failures_of
power_supply to large areas of Somerville, and
Whereas;
Inconvenl-ence and great physical dan-
ger results In these repeated power failures, therefore be
it
Resolved;
That the Boston Edison Company
through its representatives appear before this Board of
Aldermen together with the Commissioner of Electric Lines
and Lights to explain the repeated failures and what is
being done to prevent failure reoccurrence^

requested to- advise this Board of Aldermen in writing,_on
or before the__next regular .meeting_, on Friday, November
12, 19^3, as to Just what is the underlying cause of the
geveral electric power failures in Sqmeryllle in recent
months. The power failures cause the e'itlzens great In-
convenience and create a dangerous condition, and if the
cause can be remedied so as to eliminate fbrther failures
of power, such steps should be taken at once.
