surety on sign permit bond,' said bond being given to _
secure the City of Somerville on account of a license
issued "on order of Board of Aldermen to James Gallagher for
a s ign 'over the sidewalk at 425-427 Washington St., on
February^27, 1936, be and it hereby is released fronTfurthereliability
as surety on said bond, provided, however,
that this release shall not affect or release the liability
of the said surety on account of any obligation arising in
connection with said bond prior to the date of the approval
of this order by the Mayor.
The said sign having been taken down, the license
granted to James Gallagher for a sign over the sidewalk at
T2B-427 Washington St. is hereby revoked*
Upon the approval of this order by the Mayor, the
City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this
order tolthe surety company above mentioned.

ORDINANCE NO. ' 74957
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING "TRAFFIC ORDINANCES" OF THE
CITY !OF SOMERVILLE BY ESTABLISHING WELLINGTON AVENUE
AS A ONE WAY STREET_FROM MONTGOMERY AVENUE TO WALNUT STREET
Be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen o£ the City
of Somervjille, as 'follows:
'SECTION 1* No_person shall cause or allow a yehicle
other than a vehicle propelled by hand to pass along
any portion of Wellington Avenue, except in a westerly
direction, from Montgomery Avenue to Walnut _Stre_et_*_
SECTION 2. Whoever violates any provision of this
ordinance shall be'liable to a penalty of not exceeding
two (2) dollars for the first offense, and not more than
twenty (2p) dollars for each subsequent offense of a like
nature, committed during a perio.d of one (1) year.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon
its passage and approval by the Department of Public Works,
Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be effective
only during such times as a sufficient number of official
signs are erected and maintained in accordance with the
General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts*
Read twice and further action deferred under the
rules until the ordinance shall have been printed and a
copy laid on the desk of each alderman.
