Regular meeting <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong><br />

Aldermen, <strong>City</strong> Hall,' <strong>Somerville</strong>,<br />

February 27, 1940, 8 p.m.<br />

The Vice-president, Alderman Brady, presiding.<br />

The President, Alderman Mallard, was present In the<br />

Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen's Chamber, but was not seated.<br />

Aldermen Ryan, McCarthy, Reynolds, Stackpole, Hall,<br />

Butler, Capuano and Whitney present. /<br />

Reading <strong>of</strong> records commenced; further reading dispensed<br />

with under a suspension <strong>of</strong> the rules and records<br />

approved by yea and nay vote, Aldermen Ryan, Reynolds,<br />

Stackpole, Hall, Butler, Capuano, Whitney and Vice-president<br />

Brady, 8, voting in the affirmative, Aldermen Kurd, McCarthy,<br />

and President Mallard, 3, being absent at this state <strong>of</strong> the<br />

meeting.<br />

JURORS<br />

Received a venire for the drawing <strong>of</strong> four men to<br />

serve as traverse Jurors at the Superior Court to be holden<br />

at Cambridge, the persons so drawn to appear and attend at<br />

the first session <strong>of</strong> said Court/ on Monday, the fifth day <strong>of</strong><br />

April, 1948, at 10 A.M. (Criminal business),<br />

The box containing the names being shaken and the<br />

slips or ballots bearing the names being mixed, Aldermen<br />

McCarthy and Butler, being designated for that purpose, drew<br />

from the box and read aloud names as follows:<br />

1. John Browne 65 Berkeley St. Factory worker<br />

2. Edward Capone 33 Grant St. Foreman<br />

3. Albert Dente 209 Highland Ave. General work<br />

4. George Trane 36 Ames St. Selector<br />

Received a venire for the drawing <strong>of</strong> four men to<br />

serve as traverse jurors at the Superior Court, to be holden<br />

at Cambridge, the persons so drawn to appear and attend at<br />

the first session <strong>of</strong> said Court on Monday, the fifth day <strong>of</strong><br />

April, 1948, at 10 a.m.<br />

at Lowell, the per'sons so drawn to appear and attend at the<br />

session <strong>of</strong> said Court at Lowell on Monday, the fifth day <strong>of</strong><br />

April, 1948, at 10 a.m.<br />
