MOTIONS, ORDERS_AND RESOLUTIONS<br />

President Mallard <strong>of</strong>fered the following order, _ . ,<br />

That it is hereby demanded that the<br />

<strong>City</strong> Solicitor render the two rulings asked for by the<br />

President <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen some time ago, namely,<br />

the status <strong>of</strong> the U-Like Cone Co., at 20^ North-SSeeet,<br />

and the garages in the vicinity <strong>of</strong> ^9 Waterhouse Street,<br />

that are licensed as garages and are now storing lumber.<br />

The Building Commissioner was requested to inspect these<br />

places on October llth, and to notify the <strong>City</strong> Solicitor<br />

<strong>of</strong> any violation <strong>of</strong> the law, who in turn was to advise<br />

the Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen as to any action that may be neces-<br />

sary to revoke any license. The Building Commissioner<br />

submitted his decisions within forty-eight hours in each<br />

instance. Therefore It Is now demanded that the <strong>City</strong><br />
