dred (ljp2,100.00) Dollars is hereby appropriated to the
Health Department, Personal Service Account, to pay the
salary of George A. Bowles as Executive Secretary, from
April 24, 1948. Special appropriation covered this to
the above date and no provision for same was made in the
budget estimates.

Fifty (§350,00) Dollars is hereby appropriated for the_
purchase of a piece of land owned by Carmela Cedrone^ on
Ten Hills Road.
The City of Somerville, about five years ago,
constructed a wooden flight of steps on land adjoining
69 and 71 Ten Hills Road owned by Carmela Cedrone without
any legal authority, as a result'of petitions sind requests
by people in that vicinity so that they could get to the
bus stop on the Fellsway. There might be a question of
recovery by one injured using the steps and suing the
