That this Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen request.<br />

the Department <strong>of</strong> Public Works, Commonwealth <strong>of</strong> Massachu-<br />

setts to consider the elimination <strong>of</strong> the continuous green<br />

arrow traffic signal now in Operation at the Juncture <strong>of</strong><br />

Jjomerville Avenue and McGrath Highway on the Northern Ar-<br />

tery turning from <strong>Somerville</strong> Avenue towards Washington<br />

Street, <strong>Somerville</strong>, as the presence <strong>of</strong> this green light<br />

which now changes for the benefit <strong>of</strong> pedestrians is a<br />

constant source <strong>of</strong> danger to the people in this District<br />

and to school children attending the Bennett School and<br />

St. Joseph's School, and be it further<br />

twenty-five years, who sustained injuries while in the<br />

performance <strong>of</strong> his duties as Custodian, 3.s_eliglble to re-<br />

ceive payment <strong>of</strong>_an Annuity, other compensation or settle-<br />

ment from the <strong>City</strong> or the Commonwealth, by reason <strong>of</strong> the<br />

death <strong>of</strong> said employee.<br />
