That Traffic Signal-lights be installed<br />

on Broadway at the corner <strong>of</strong> North Street in view <strong>of</strong> the<br />

hazard created at that location which is dangerouft to<br />

pedestrians, school children and many attending church<br />

services as the trolley buses from the nearby carbarn are<br />

constantly obstructing View at that corner.<br />

That the Committee on Electric Lines<br />

and Lights and the Commissioner <strong>of</strong> Electric Lines and Lights<br />

make a survey <strong>of</strong> the lighting conditions on Holland Street<br />

at the corners <strong>of</strong> Cameron Avehue, Elmwood, Jay and other<br />

streets, since the new white-way lights are located at<br />

present at such distances away from the corners <strong>of</strong> the<br />

several streets involved that conditions cannot be con-<br />

sidered <strong>of</strong> a protective nature at night for the women <strong>of</strong><br />

the community, and tke Committee on Electric Lines and_<br />

Ljgfcts is requested to make its recommendations on the_<br />

aituat ion tq_this Honorable Board*<br />

Whenever the collection <strong>of</strong> ashes^<br />

debris, etc*, is running behind the normal schedule the<br />

Superintendent <strong>of</strong> the Sanitary Department is instructed^ to<br />

notify the residents <strong>of</strong> the various city districts through<br />

publication <strong>of</strong> such ah informative notice in the local<br />

newspapers and the Evening American so that such materials<br />

which are placed in barrels* boxes etc., for collection<br />

will not be left on <strong>City</strong> streets uncoliected for long<br />

periods <strong>of</strong> time*<br />
