MOTIONS, ORDERS AND RESOLUTIONS
President Mallard offered the following orders,

That Traffic Signal-lights be installed
on Broadway at the corner of North Street in view of the
hazard created at that location which is dangerouft to
pedestrians, school children and many attending church
services as the trolley buses from the nearby carbarn are
constantly obstructing View at that corner.

That the Committee on Electric Lines
and Lights and the Commissioner of Electric Lines and Lights
make a survey of the lighting conditions on Holland Street
at the corners of Cameron Avehue, Elmwood, Jay and other
streets, since the new white-way lights are located at
present at such distances away from the corners of the
several streets involved that conditions cannot be con-
sidered of a protective nature at night for the women of
the community, and tke Committee on Electric Lines and_
Ljgfcts is requested to make its recommendations on the_
aituat ion tq_this Honorable Board*

Whenever the collection of ashes^
debris, etc*, is running behind the normal schedule the
Superintendent of the Sanitary Department is instructed^ to
notify the residents of the various city districts through
publication of such ah informative notice in the local
newspapers and the Evening American so that such materials
which are placed in barrels* boxes etc., for collection
will not be left on City streets uncoliected for long
periods of time*

That His Honor the Mayor consider the
advisability of increasing the salaries of Daniel A, Downey,
City Messenger, in _the_amount of Three Hundred and Fifty
($350.00) Dollars, and John M. Mansfield, Jr., Assistant
