That the gratitude and appreciation
of the parents of our School children be extended through
their representatives In this Board of Aldermen together
with our own commendations, to the Principals and Teach-
ers In our Elementary Schools for their splendid display
of Christmas spirit^ generosity and sacrifice manifested
by them through their arrangement of Christmas Tree par-
ties In our Schools, thereby contributing pleasure, en-
joyment and happiness to our School children, and it is
further
Resolved:;.
That a copy of t&is Resolution be
forwarded to the Superintendent of Schools so that suita-
ble notification may be made to the Principals and Teach-
ers of all our Elementary Schools.

'saTcr pona being given to secure the City of Somerville^ on
account" of a license issued on order of Board of Aldermen
to standard Oil Co* of N.Y. for a shield sign over the
sidewalk at~Alewlfe Brook Pky. cor Gordon St. on January
22, 1931, be and itjiereby is released from further liability
as surety on said bond, pjrbVided, however, that
this release shall not affect or release the liability of
the said surety on account of any^ obligation arising in
connection with said bond 1 prior to the date of the approval
of this order by the Mayor.
The said shield sign having been taken down, the
