17 A study be undertaken into the utility of parachute Recommendation Rejected<br />

escape on the <strong>Nimrod</strong> MR2.<br />

After completion of reports into the feasibility and cost of incorporating a parachute escape facility<br />

within the <strong>Nimrod</strong> it was decided that the capability could not be fitted within the remaining life<br />

of the <strong>Nimrod</strong> airframe.<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>Nimrod</strong> STANEVAL have reviewed Annex P to the main report and produced recommendations<br />

which will be taken forward by RAF Kinloss and HQ 2 Gp<br />

18 <strong>Nimrod</strong> STANEVAL consider the lessons identified at<br />

Annex P and their potential impact on crew emergency<br />

procedures.<br />

RTS). As this recommendation is only relevant to AAR it no longer has any utility and has been<br />

closed.<br />
