Basic <strong>Command</strong>sluncache -clearDescriptionClears the LUN offline (cache dirty) condition.The naviseccli or navicli luncache command with the -clear functionclears the LUN offline (cache dirty) condition. You can clear the LUNoffline condition for a specific LUN, or for all LUNS on the storagesystem.When a storage processor (SP) fails, writes destined for a LUN thathave not yet been flushed to disk place the LUN in an offline (cachedirty) condition. LUNs in an offline condition are inaccessible untilpending writes for the LUN are cleared.Note: When you execute luncache -clear, all pending writes on the LUN arelost.You must issue the command to the SP that owns the LUN.SyntaxPrerequisitesOptionsOutputluncache -clear is used with naviseccli (described on page 37) ornavicli (described on page 45) as follows:luncache lun-number -clear [-o]For naviseccli, you must have a user account on the storage systemon which you want to execute the command.For navicli, you must have a user entry in the <strong>Navisphere</strong> agentconfiguration file.You can verify the offline condition of a LUN, using the luncache -listcommand.lun-numberSpecifies the LUN for which to clear the LUN offline condition. Ifyou do not specify a LUN number, clears the LUN offlinecondition for all LUNS on the storage system.-oExecutes the command without prompting for confirmation.None if the command succeeds; status or error information if it fails.211
