Basic CommandsNote: If the storage system is uninitialized, user credential information is notrequired. Therefore, a security file is not required and the CLI does notprompt you for a username, password and scope. The ndu command is not supported on Netware and HP-UX operatingsystems. The ndu command is only supported by Secure CLI in NavisphereCLI versions 6.24 and later. You can also issue validation checks without installing or upgradingsoftware (see ndu -runrules).Note: Use the naviseccli ndu -list command to display installed packageinformation. If the ndu -install command succeeds, the SPs restart.SyntaxPrerequisitesOptionsndu -install is used with naviseccli (described on page 37) as follows:ndu -install pathlist [-delay seconds] [-force] [-gen] [-verbose]For naviseccli, you must have a user account on the storage systemon which you want to execute the command. You must have a user entry in the Navisphere agent configurationfile.pathlistSpecifies filenames, with full pathnames, of the softwarepackages to be installed. You can use a Windows or UNIXpathname (for example, C:\temp or /usr/bin). Enclose thepathname list in quotes and separate multiple names by a space. If you are installing a newer version of an existing package, youmust install all other packages (as explained above).-delay delaySpecifies the delay time that allows attached hosts enough timeafter SP B has finished rebooting to rescan and mark pathsavailable to SP B, before SP A reboots. The minimum alloweddelay is zero seconds and the maximum allowed is 1140 seconds. In most cases, the EMC recommended NDU delay of 360 secondsshould be used. However, some host configurations (such asthose using Veritas DMP) may require a longer delay.227
