Basic <strong>Command</strong>sndu -commitDescriptionCommits (makes permanent) an installed storage-system driverpackageThe naviseccli ndu command with the -commit function commits aninstalled software package. Every package does not require commit.If a package needs to be committed and it is not committed, all newfeatures of the newly installed package may not be available. Acommitted package cannot be reverted. It can be uninstalled.Note: You cannot create any new RAID groups or bind any new LUNs untilyou commit FLARE and Access Logix software.The ndu command is not supported on NetWare and HP-UX operatingsystems. The ndu command is only supported by Secure <strong>CLI</strong> in <strong>Navisphere</strong><strong>CLI</strong> versions 6.24 and later.Note: Use the naviseccli ndu -list command to display installed packageinformation.SyntaxPrerequisitesOptionsOutputExamplendu -commit is used with naviseccli (described on page 37) asfollows:ndu -commit namelistFor naviseccli, you must have a user account on the storage systemon which you want to execute the command.You must have a user entry in the <strong>Navisphere</strong> agent configurationfile.namelistLists package names of the software packages to be committed.If the version of FLARE software running on the SP does not supportthis command, a Not supported error message is printed to stderr.naviseccli -h ss1_spa ndu -commit mypackageFor the SP with hostname payroll_storage_SPA, this commandcommits the installed package mypackage.231
