Basic Commandsarraycommpath (AX4-5 series running Navisphere Managerand CX series only)Sets a communication path to a storage system that has no LUNsbound, or removes such a path (non-Access Logix only)Description!The naviseccli or navicli arraycommpath command creates orremoves a communication path between the server and storagesystem. Generally this command is needed when you want toconfigure a storage system that has no LUNs bound.This command works only for storage systems without Access Logix.For storage systems with Access Logix, use the commandstoragegroup sethost -arraycompath (see Chapter 4).The CLI will not issue a confirmation request first if you include the-o switch.CAUTIONDo not issue this command unless you know the appropriate valuefor the type of failover software running on the attached servers.The command is designed for transition from one type of failoversoftware to another. Changing the arraycommpath mode to thewrong value will make the storage system inaccessible.To discover the current setting of arraycommpath, use the commandwithout an argument.SyntaxPrerequisitesarraycommpath is used with naviseccli (described on page 37) ornavicli (described on page 45) as follows:arraycommpath [ 0 | 1] [-o]For naviseccli, you must have a user account on the storage systemon which you want to execute the command.For navicli, you must have a user entry in the Navisphere agentconfiguration file.Options 01Disables a communication path.Enables a communication path.58 EMC Navisphere Command Line Interface (CLI) Reference
Basic Commands-oExecutes the command without prompting for confirmation.OutputIf the version of FLARE software running on the SP does not supportthis command, a Not supported error message is printed to stderr.Other errors:Valid values are 0 or 1Example naviseccli -h ss1_spa arraycommpath 0WARNING: Previous arraycommpath setting will be lost!DO YOU WISH TO CONTINUE? (y/n) yThis command disables the communication path between server andstorage system. In this example, the confirmation message shows thatthe change, if confirmed, will cause the previous setting to be lost.Note: To use this command with navicli, replace naviseccli with navicli.59
