Basic Commandscachecard -initialize (AX series only)Initializes the cache memory cardDescriptionThe naviseccli or navicli cachecard command with the -initializefunction lets you initialize the cache memory card.The cachecard -initialize command can be issued under any of thefollowing circumstances:◆◆◆a different cache memory card is installed on the storage systemlive data is on the cache memory carda LUN with an offline (cache dirty) condition exists on the storagesystemSyntax cachecard -initialize is used with naviseccli (described on page 37)or navicli (described on page 45) as follows:cachecard -initialize [-o]PrerequisitesFor naviseccli, you must have a user account on the storage systemon which you want to execute the command.For navicli, you must have a user entry in the Navisphere agentconfiguration file.Options -oExecutes the command without prompting for confirmation.OutputExampleNone if the command succeeds; status or error information if it fails.naviseccli -h ss1_spa cachecard -initializeFor this example, a different cache memory card is installed on thestorage system.The cache memory card currently installed in this storagesystem is not the same as the one previously installed inthis storage system.
